About me…..

I started fishing 19 years ago on a small farm lake catching Rudd, Roach, Skimmers and Gudgeon. After a few trips I managed to land a small double figured carp on sweetcorn, ever since then I have been crazy about angling and Carp. I don’t really fish the busy circuit waters as I like the peace and quiet, the only time you will find me on these are on tutorials. Yes I decided to turn my passion of carp fishing into my job, I love helping people put more carp on the bank and upping there current PB. I am currently angling for a massive common which is 56lb+ from my 17 acre syndicate. After I have hopefully caught him I will be back on Boreham Mere for the 2 last target fish 1 fully scaled around 30lb and a common of 32lb.

Hintlesham fishery has so much to offer to the sport. The 4 lakes offer great sport for pleasure anglers, carp anglers and predator anglers. The carp specimen water is around 2.5acres in size and is well stocked with fish to 35lb 4oz. The stock has a healthy mixture of common...

I arrived at the lake at 3pm delighted to find 3 cars parked in the carpark which was great as the lake is 17 acres so plenty of swims free. After walking for 5 minutes my mood changed as both the swims I had been baiting up were both taken....

I had a 48hr session booked in for mid-December with my dad, and it just so happened to be one of those lovely warmer days we experienced. We went to a water that we both know well and when we arrived at 3pm half of the swims were under water...

It was a Monday morning the van had its first frost on the windscreen, driving to the lake I could see it was going to be a cloudy day. The temperatures were not going to much more than 10 degrees. I arrived in to an empty car park at 5:45am,...

I had a 6 day session planned on the syndicate but 2 days in only 1 carp had been banked in over 9 days and it didn’t look like they would get on the feed anytime soon so at 5am I decided to head over to a club water and...

At 6.55am on Friday myself and my 2 clients arrive at the locked Thorpe lea gates the weather was mild and blowing a South Westerly. The bailiff opened the gates at 7am and we drive into the car park. We look at the map of the lake in the hut...

It was a moist August morning over the mere, I arrived in the car park at 4am it was still too dark to see the steps leading down the lake so I used the phone screen to help me. Once down beside the lake I could hear crashing carp not...

July and August can be funny months for carp anglers because the carp could have another go at spawning if they got interrupted earlier in the year. The high air pressures and temperatures also play a massive factor in these months. Usually I would opt for zigs in these conditions...
