Horseshoe Lake adventure A recent 48hr social on the very popular Carp Society Horseshoe lake in Lechlade with fellow Nash consultant Alan price proved successful for a first time visit to the lake.  It’s a place I’ve always wanted to fish but somehow never got around to. The fish in...

Winter wonderland Winter can be the trickiest time of the year to catch a carp . With the carps metabolism slowing down as the water temperature gets colder the fish become more inactive and feeding is not so much a necessity “but” like any living creature they just like ourselves...

It’s been awhile since I put any real fishing time into this place. I still bailiff the lake daily but after a few years of catching most of the fish you start to get repeat catches which to be honest started to bore me slightly. As with most lakes...

So after a few weeks without any fishing and not really having the time to travel over the bridge to Flint id planed on doing a mid-week school night (7pm- 6am) on the Wharf followed by a few 24hr sessions at weekends.  The wharf fish seem to have woken very...

Not having fished Lamby Lake for some time I thought it would be nice to get back to the old stomping ground for a 24 hour session and catch up with some of the lads. The weather outlook was the best it’s been for ages, Strong SW wind, rain, low...

After an up and down 2013 not really setting my stalls on a particular water I was determined that 2014 would be more planned and constructive when it came down to planing my years fishing. Still working alongside First4Fishing and with the new shop Bait (The Red Ball) imminent I...
