Well it’s been a good year for me all in all , firstly my local syndicate lake I managed to catch 3 of my target fish and over twenty other fish to back it up which was just reward as its far from an easy water, next year i’ll be moving onto one of the other lakes on the complex which hopefully I will keep you all updated throughout the year .
first target fish known as bitemark
2nd target the floppy tail common
The 3rd target the grey fish.
All stunning typical cambs fish.
April saw myself my son and a good friend head of to France for a weeks fishing at Le Lac Cache, a small intimate lake set in the champagne region and a place i’ve been to three times now and feel I’ve got to know the place a bit. although this trip was the best one as I couldnt have had better company, fishing wise it was a bit of a struggle as the nights were dropping down below freezing which made it a little difficult to say the least , although my main concern was to get my son and Dan a descent fish under there belt , which we did all three of us had fish to upper 40lb and the 4th night saw me bank my biggest fish to date a common at 59lb
Summer saw me joining Vardis and straight away I was putting it all to good use. The grey fish falling to a rig using Vardis
end tackle
Also back end of the summer I got the chance to fish the awesome Abbye Lakes complex in France ,so a very good chance to put the Vardis end tackle to good use, fishing was really good although I had to work for it moving 4 times on the fox lake but I caught fish every day so I was happy with the results , biggest I caught was a nice mirror at 42lb
Also got to meet a few of the lads from Team Vardis , firstly I met up with head consultant Mike and done a couple of nights at the Bluebell complex in appaling weather conditions, but we had a good chat and got to know each other both of us being ex military we had plenty in common.
Then came the Vardis social were I got to meet a few of the other lads, I was lucky enough to fish a productive swim and even managed to get one while filming , I fished the end bank along with John Ethan and Steve so we exchanged a few stories and got to know each other which made it all a good trip ,I managed 5 fish over the couple of days.
My last trip for 2014 will be down on the linear complex where I will be meeting up with John Flewin and a few other lads so wish us luck and hopefully we will end the year on a high.
To everyone who reads this I wish you all the best for 2015 and hope you catch that big one.
Be lucky.
