Peter Carr, 48(I think) and been angling since the tender age of 11. During my early years I focused of general coarse fishing fishing locally and for a number of years fished for various clubs. I got my carp bug over 30 years ago and can still remember the feeling of catching my first twenty. Living in East London at the time, I cut my teeth so to speak on the walthamstow ressies very quickly mastering the art of fishing slam up to catch a number of good fish on the number one, Progressing, I spent a further 5 years targeting the west Warwick and higher Maynard catching numerous twenties alongside at the time good 30lb + fish. I have spent many a season fishing places such as Waveney valley and the linear complex in Oxford before really getting the bug to fish out in France where I have again and again smashed my pb once getting to really know some of the beaten track lakes that France has to offer. One particular session I managed to bank no less than forty 40’s in one weeks session which still is firmly imprinted in my angling achievements, second most memorable session was banking 1.5 tonne in one week

I hold the tench record at the linear complex of 12.08 which still remains to this day

With my current work commitments being extremely busy, sometimes working six days a week I plan to re visit the my old walthamstow days but target the larger residents within the complex………
